Ik heb het forum op 2 websites (+ 2 test sites) met verschillende thema's werken, zonder problemen. En er zijn meer mensen die de vertaling gebruiken.

Als de memory uitbreiding niet werkt, en het ook niet helpt om je computer even helemaal opnieuw te starten, kun je nog proberen de hele map wp-admin te vervangen door een verse download (hele map verwijderen en verse uploaden).

Is het probleem er dan nog, dan raad ik je aan een bericht in het support forum te zetten, want dit is wel heel erg vreemd. Cry

BTW ik heb de regel helemaal bovenin mijn htaccess gezet is dat goed?

Helemaal opnieuw gestart, 't is jammer, maar hoe ik het ook noem: of het werkt maar ik heb geen dashboard of het forum is in het engels en ik heb wel een dashbord…

Heel vreemd, ik ga eens een deurtje verder kijken of ze in andere talen ook geen DB hebben.

Ik zal het voor de zekerheid ook hier neer zetten!

@Andy: recent discussion in this thread is about a problem that occurred after the (Dutch) translation was uploaded.
"Folk&Wereldmuziek" then got a white page, instead of the dashboard; renaming or removing the translation restored the dashboard.
I have suggested upping the memory limit, rebooting and replacing the wp-admin with a freshly downloaded version, but none of that helped. It's either an English forum with dashboard or a Dutch forum without dashboard.
She's now looking through the forums to see if there's a similar problem with other translations, and might be posting it the support forum (by my suggestion), but I find this very peculiar!
Any ideas?

Anybody knows how to contact the EN->NL translator?

 

I am not satisfied with current translations.

For instance:

Perhaps (but I doubt) in American English this is a fine phrase: "Why Using Upper Case Characters For Each Word In A Sentence?"

In Dutch this is awful.  I can't and won't present this silly spelling to my visitors.

Correct translation into Dutch could be: "Waarom zou je in een zin ieder woord met een hoofdletter schrijven?"

 

I am familiar with Poedit and would like to help.

The last translation was done a while ago.

I have some experience with translation for wordpress plugins. I'll have a go.

Is there a recent .pot file I can use to update the .po file?

 

I agree with violacase that the use of uppercase in sentences in Dutch is not common. I will try to correct this.

The PO file in the download is up to date as far as V4 goes.

It is worth pointing out that we hope to be releasing the PO files for V5 in the not too distant future – hopefully some time next month – and V5 is a radical overhaul which will change a lot of text.

We will announce this when ready on this site probably via PM's.

Hi Y'all! Hallo Luitjes! (lol :D)

I'm gonna do this in dutch, sorry :P

 

Ik heb net heel simple-press geupload naar wordpress en heb toen in het mapje "languages" mijn .mo file ge-upload en de naam verandert naar "sforum-nl_NL.mo". Wat ik ook probeer, ik krijg de vertaling niet aan de gang. Zijn er nog andere dingen die ik moet doen, behalve dit .mo file uploaden en de naam veranderen?
