I began the new translation, I reached 95%, I've still 90 chains to translate.

Do you prefer, I send the files gradually or when the translation is completed?

I wouldn't worry Lise. Me and the world are quite happy to wait for however long it takes.
We are just grateful you are, once again, doing it.

Hi,

Thanks for the translation.

Could you tell me where the language files are meant to go though?

I have setup the laguage to fr in the simple forum menu.

I have tried to put the language files in the languages directory under plugins\simple-forum and under \wp-content\

Either way, I keep getting the forum user interface in English.

If you could give me a tip on how to findout where a plugin search for the language files, I would be very grateful because it is not the first plugin that I have problem getting into french. More othen than not I hardcode a translation into the plugin (but obevioulsy that's a pain when I upgrade or want to change language).

Thanks for your help

Catherine

Make sure all the codes are the same (read the part in the box with the light bulb!)

Catherine,

Dans le fichier wp-config.php qui se trouve dans le répertoire de WordPress, il suffit de compléter "define "en rajoutant "fr_FR"

define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR');

Les fichiers de traduction de Simple:Press Forum (les fichiers .po et .mo) doivent  être placés dans le répertoire

wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/languages

Hi

Thanks, the light bulb shaded some light on me :-)

I have renamed the po aand mo files from -fr  to -fr_FR as the WPLANG for french language was fr_FR in my wp-config.

Cheers

Catherine

Good day Lise

There is an error in the French translation file as follows:

The current translation reads:

msgid "Text can include HTML, class name and the optional placeholders %s"
msgstr "Le texte peut inclure du HTML, des noms de classe et le mot clé %ICON%"

and it should be:

msgid "Text can include HTML, class name and the optional placeholders %s"

msgstr "Le texte peut inclure du HTML, des noms de classe et le mot clé %s"

These are on lines 1229 and 1230

Sorry Lise – found a couple more. I do hope this is not a problem caused by poEdit which would be very worrying.

The term "Configuration des messages" has been applied to:

  • 407 – 'Post Settings'
  • 412 – 'Content Settings'
  • 424 – 'Style Settings'.

Used more than once on the same menu means that only one of the options above actually shows up.

I do not know if this is coprrect or not but this term is also used for the translation of 'Post Details' at line 5222.

Bonjour,

Je joint à ce mail, la copie d'écran de mon soucis.

En effet, j'ai intégré la traduction en Français, mais les mails continuent de ma parvenir en Anglais, du moins sur les deux premières phrases.

J'ai vérifié avec l'éditeur de fichier .po, et les lignes sont belles et bien traduites.

My english is very bad, scuse me for the translation ConfusedEmbarassed :

The mail who are transmit with simple press, after the translation, are in english, but the translation file are presents for my forum.

The 4.4 translation should cover everything. There were no new text strings in 4.5.0
