Now I'm finished, but if there were another Swedish translator out there I would be glad if he/she looked at the translation an edited any error I might have made…

Should I email the translation somewhere?

That's great news. Thank you.
Could you email the PO file back to me – andy at simplepressforum dot com
I will get it put up for download.

Please let me know how to give you credit with your preferred name and a website link I can use.

other translators requesting feedback have started a topic in their translation forum in their native language. Please feel free to use this forum in that way.

And again – this is very much appreciated.

Hi,

I have installed the 4.5 and what I could see there are no translatition for Swedish to that. Not much activity?

If I wan't to do that shaould I start with downloading the "not finished old version" and add in the already translated parts and just update with the missinbg part's. I don't know if I saw right that the old was not so good partly?

Please let me know before I start.

Take care / Lars

I am afraid that whatever is currently available in the download is the best and most up to date we have and is currently incomplete needing some extra work.

Which is the best approach?

Start from scratch or use the latest version that you have?

I have to find the page again with the tools/program that you use to change and compile, if you have the links Pleaseadd them here otherwise I have to make the search again to the weekend.

Take care / Lars

Thanks,

I use Windows 7 on 64b but the poEdit install looks much more work to install than translation. Hoped that there should be an easy editor like all kind that I have for other. Seems just to be short snippets explaining how to use poEdit not an easy install or setup.

Hope there are other compile program to use then I should have the translation ready in less than a week.

Take care / Lars

It's just a .exe file isnt it? and an .app file for  MacOSX (which is what I use).

Try googling for any other 'gettext' tools.

You CAN use a text editor of course. But – it MUST be plain text and your must NOT change the layout of the file. Use something like a word processor and it will never compile.

Thanks,

My mistake, I downloaded the latest and that was a zip-file that gave a lot of different files that I didn't recognized.

Now I have the exe-file and that worked great. I will make a chane and test in my Forum installation and if that looks OK I will make a swedish for the latest SPF version.

Take care / Lars

One more question.

If I wan't to be sure that I use the latest version of the .po to work on. In this case for SPF 4.4.5 where can I get that .po file to work on and make the translation?

Regards / Lars

The 4.4 here is the most up to date – although of course – V5 is currently approaching beta and that is a lot different
